Indian Real Estate Back in Vogue in UK
Indian developers flew into London this weekend for the HDFC show held in central London and they got a warm response from UK NRI’s.
Navyroof.com interviewed Indian property developers from all over India and the response was unanimous, NRI’s are back in the market and looking to buy property in India.
Long term growth prospects for India
Vikas Yadav from Ansal API developers explained, “the market has slowed from the highs a few years back but NRI’s still see the long term growth prospects for India”. This sentiment was shared by many Indian developers present we spoke with.
Mr Vinodh Kumar from VGN Developers, Chennai, told Navyroof.com “interest is definitely higher than previous years and we are seeing more serious investors looking at property in Chennai“. This proves that investors have still not shied away from buying property in India as opposed to other markets.
NRI’s moving back home
Other developers noted there are “more and more NRI’s moving back home having spent time here as they now see India as the future“. This may also be due in fact to the jobs market slowing in the UK and better opportunities back in India. Property in Thane Mumbai, and the main metros were on show including property in Chennai, property in Delhi, property in Ahmedabad Pune and many others.
